Autism Oxford and Hoglet and Twig’s Forest School 

Autism Oxford UK and Hoglet and Twig are proud to be launching their summer term Forest School!

What? 

6-week block of forest school intervention for autistic children. The block includes six 90minute forest school sessions for £90. That means you are getting 9 hours of forest school creativity, skill, development and fun for just £90.

Sessions will be co-delivered by Specialist Occupational Therapist Tara alongside Forest School Leader Meg to deliver a holistic, therapeutic intervention. Parents and carers will have access to specialist advice, coaching and intervention from Tara throughout all sessions.

Sessions are specifically designed to create a safe, fun space for play and exploration, tailored to the needs of autistic individuals.

There is the additional recommended offer of a 30minute pre-therapy goal setting call, and 30minute post-therapy reflection and outcomes session with Tara our Specialist Occupational Therapist and advanced sensory integration practitioner.

The pre-session goal setting call will enable us to tailor the forest school sessions to your young person’s goals and will ensure we maximise progress towards these goals. The post-session reflection will focus on transferring skills and development from the forest school sessions back into the home or school settings. These calls are charged at £50 each and will come with written goals and outcomes.

Who?

Designed for autistic children and those awaiting a diagnostic assessment. Activities will be designed for primary school-aged children.

When?

Block 1 will run weekly on Wednesdays at 1:00-2:30pm from 17th April – 22nd May.

Block 2 will run from after May half term – details TBC.
