Description
Autistic burnout, as identified by Raymaker et al. (2020), is characterised by long-term exhaustion, loss of function, and decreased tolerance to stimuli, lasting over three months. Unlike similar mental health conditions like depression, it requires distinct supportive measures. Recognising autistic burnout is crucial for implementing appropriate interventions.
Join Nicky, Neurodevelopmental Specialist, and Anna, Peer Support Practitioner, as they draw on their professional and lived experience to discuss autistic burnout.
This webinar will cover:
- What are the characteristics of autistic burnout?
- What can cause autistic burnout?
- How can we support a young person through autistic burnout?
- How can future burnout be prevented?
Throughout the webinar, there will be consideration of those with a PDA profile.
This webinar is aimed at parents/carers supporting young people susceptible to or currently experiencing burnout, as well as professionals working with these families.
Once purchased, this recording will be available to watch for 14 days.
