Description
Join Hannahlore our Peer Support Practitioner, alongside Occupational Therapist Tara as they provide an Introduction to Interoception – our 8th sensory system.
Interoception is the awareness of our internal body signals and feelings. It helps us notice and understand the internal state of the body by noticing things like hunger, thirst, fatigue, body temperature and heart rate. These can be linked to emotion states likes fear, excitement and anxiety.
Our interoceptive sense is vital to enable us to regulate our feelings and emotions and attend to our innate body needs.
This webinar will explore:
- What is interoception
- How someone’s interoception may be different
- What it means to be more or less aware of internal body signals
- Daily strategies that can support someone to develop their interoceptive awareness.
This webinar is aimed at individuals seeking to learn more about their own interoceptive sense, as well as parents, carers, teachers, and professionals.
Once purchased, this recording will be available to watch for 14 days.
