Discover how this initiative, commissioned by Surrey County Council, has evolved from a pilot program to a year-long offer, providing vital support to professionals and families in the Surrey area. Explore the success of our online training portal and the positive feedback received from national organisations like Payprus, contributing to a joined-up approach to suicide prevention in Surrey.

 

Our collaborative partnership between Autism Oxford UK, Making Families Count, and Surrey County Council in revolutionising autism suicide prevention training in the Surrey area. Through our joint efforts, we have co developed and co delivered a comprehensive training program aimed at supporting professionals and families in safeguarding autistic individuals of all ages.

Originally piloted, the success of this initiative led to its expansion into a year-long program, open to professionals and families across Surrey. We are currently working towards integrating this training offer into Surrey’s regular service provision.
