Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m a Special Educational Needs consultant at Autism Oxford UK.
I have worked in early education for over 25 years, most of these as a SENCo and SEN advisor, in both mainstream and specialist provision.
My professional experience, and also on a personal level, as a proud parent to an Autistic son, has enabled to me to be clear on my vocational goals. I am focused on ensuring inclusive, equitable and positive education experiences for all children and young people.
Following my own difficulty in obtaining an EHCP for my son, I ensured I specialised in this area to support as many children, young people and their families as possible, including completing SEND law training. I am committed to providing high quality advocacy support, drawing on all that I have learnt along the way.
When I am not working and reading up on SEN case law (!), I enjoy walking and being outdoors with my energetic boys.
