My name is Nicola Lane and I am a Clinical Psychologist, accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I have worked in the NHS and charity sector since 2004 within a range of child and adult mental health services and settings. Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2012 at the University of Oxford, I have predominantly worked with adults with learning disabilities, their families and support systems providing neuro-psychological assessment of Learning Disabilities, Autism and Dementia as well as a range of psychological interventions. Since 2021 I have been the Intellectual Disabilities Co Lead at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research overseeing clinical placements and research projects.
My role at Autism Oxford UK is to help the team to formulate assessment information to come to a decision around autism diagnosis. I am passionate about providing compassionate, thorough and responsive care and feel Autism Oxford UK very much embody these values in their work.
