I work at Autism Oxford UK as a Neurodevelopmental Specialist Assessor.
I am fortunate to have worked with autistic children and young people and their families for the majority of my career. I qualified from the University of Durham with a degree in Psychology and went on to complete a master’s at the University of Cambridge. My thesis research focused on the lived experience of parents of children with autism and gaining an EHCP. I am a qualified teacher and I have worked in both mainstream and special schools supporting autistic children. I am passionate about Early Years education and intervention. I am also passionate about the role of academic research in developing ways to support autistic people and their families and widening our knowledge about how autism presents in women and girls.
When I’m not working, I have two young boys who keep me very busy! I have a dog called Rosie who gets up to lots of mischief. I love spending time with my friends and we often go for walks or talk about books that we have read.
