Specialist Occupational Therapist
Hello, my name is Emma Louise Browne.
I am an Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatrics (UCT, 2014)
I am a qualified yoga, meditation and mindfulness instructor (Yoga Aliance 2019)
I have a MSc in Applied Neuroscience (KCL, 2023)
I am 110% committed and passionate about enabling, empowering and enriching lives through early intervention and promoting health and wellbeing through meaningful and purposeful engagement. Cultivating a state of flow through the intuitive regulation of the nervous system is at the cornerstone of how I practice. I believe in seeing the person within their environment and place much attention on the fundamentals of health such as sleep, social connection, movement, diet and stillness. I truly believe that by being an autonomous agent of change one can bring about and foster well-being, by responsibly staying well and on top of their health.
The following 3 quotes resonate with me:
• “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.”
• “You were given life; it is your duty, and also your entitlement as a human being, to find something beautiful within life, no matter how slight.”
• “The dripping tap hollows out stone”
I believe in making the most of every opportunity in life and going about our endeavours with rational optimism, employing an attitude of gratitude. My approach to life is one of incremental progress and I have found that consistency is key! I strive to living by my moral values of altruism, connectedness, love, integrity, peace, discipline, empathy, compassion, gentleness, contentless, mindfulness and acceptance.
I truly look forward to our paths crossing at some stage of our journey and will do my best to aid in optimising your wellness and help you to reach your untapped full potential!
Be well.
