Hello, my name is Shanthini. I work with Autism Oxford UK as a Consultant Pediatrician.

I am a dynamic and compassionate doctor with over 10 years of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions and neurodiversity within the NHS. I graduated from the University of Colombo, Sri-Lanka. I am highly skilled in conducting structured diagnostic interviews such as the ADI-R, performing detailed neurodevelopmental histories, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive assessments. I also review ADOS reports and provide tailored feedback and guidance to families post-assessment.

I have led service improvement initiatives to enhance care standards and patient experience. My approach is child- and family-centered, with a strong commitment to supporting children’s development and well-being through accurate diagnosis, clear communication, and collaborative care.
