Hi, my name is Conall, and I’m a Peer Support Practitioner and Expert by Experience Researcher at Autism Oxford UK.
I work closely with the assessment team and provide support to clients and their families during their autism assessment. I will answer any queries or concerns you have and utilise my lived experience and clinical knowledge when offering guidance and support. I also work with autistic people on the therapy line and offer 1-1 peer mentoring.
I am currently involved in a training project focused on suicide awareness and prevention in the autism population. Additionally, I am the lead researcher for an autism-specific suicide prevention toolkit.
I am passionate about increasing the awareness of the underrecognised talents and strengths of autistic people. Furthermore, I would like to help improve mental-health outcomes for autistic people and address the impact that suicide has on the autistic community.
I am happy to be a part of such a diverse team here at Autism Oxford UK
