Specialist Speech and Language Therapist/ Assessment Lead
Hello, my name is Chloe!
For the adults…
I am a Speech and Language Therapist. I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in July 2016, with a first-class honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy and the Natalie Webb Award for Clinical Excellence.
I joined Autism Oxford UK in March 2021 – when life was very different living in lockdown. As the assessment lead, you are most likely to meet me as part of the assessment process, for both adults and children, as well as on training and in webinars.
I am motivated to improve equality, inclusion and acceptance for autistic people, people with learning disabilities and other neurodiverse conditions. Here at Autism Oxford UK we want to provide a person centred support that celebrates strengths and understands how vital getting the right support at the right time is.
For the children…
Hi! I’m Chloe – I am a Speech and Language Therapist. I work with people who tell me they feel different. I understand that meeting new people can be hard and talking to someone you do not know can be frightening. This is why I want to help. I would like to get to know you so we can work together to think about ways to help. People tell me I am a kind, friendly and happy person. I wonder what kind of person you are?
What I like to do:
I love reading. I have read all of the Harry Potter books.
My favourite place to be is the seaside. I love the sound of waves crashing on the beach. I think it is really peaceful.
I enjoy going to the cinema and love to order a slushie!
Things that are important to me:
I enjoy my job and meeting new people.
I like to get to know other people and the things they find interesting.
Spending time with my family and friends is important.
I want everyone that I meet to feel safe and comfortable talking to me.
I understand that everyone is unique.
I believe that everyone has something important to say.
